La lettura del Direttorio per la catechesi (2020) mostra una spiccata attenzione nei confronti della cultura contemporanea. Per quanto riguarda il problema della globalizzazione, nel documento emergono due atteggiamenti: uno, più negativo e difensivo, quando il fenomeno è messo a tema esplicitamente, l’altro assai più positivo quando viene assunto come sfondo di altri fenomeni, come le trasformazioni della città o la crisi ecologica.

The reading of the “Directory for Catechesis” (2020) shows a focussed attention towards the contemporary culture. There emerge two attitudes in the document, with regard to the problem of globalisation: one, comparatively negative and defensive, when the phenomenon is explicitly treated as a theme; while the other equally positive when it is regarded as the background to other phenomena like the transformations of the city and ecological crisis.
