Con le sue straordinarie immagini, Zc 4,1-14 è un testo che ha suscitato l’interesse di molteplici studiosi. Studiato e letto da diverse prospettive, gli esegeti lo hanno affrontato adottando svariate metodologie. In questo contributo ci proponiamo di analizzare questo brano per ricavarne una più profonda intelligenza e per alimentare la discussione teologica. Senza alcuna pretesa di esaustività ed esclusa la parte oracolare, affronteremo Zc 4,1-6a.10b-14 in tre tempi. In un primo momento, esporremo lo status quaestionis della ricerca, proponendo studi a partire dall’inizio del 1900 fino ai giorni nostri. In seguito, oltre a riferire della metodologia adottata, ci dedicheremo alla sua delimitazione e all’individuazione della sua struttura. In conclusione, ne offriremo l’esegesi in chiave teologica. Delle brevi considerazioni conclusive riassumeranno i punti emersi dall’analisi.

With its extraordinary pictures, Zc 4,1-14 is a text that captured the interest of many scholars. Studied and read from diverse perspectives, scholars approached it with various methods. In this paper we also will focus on the analysis of this text in order to reach a deepest understanding and to stimulate the theological discussion. Without any pretest of exhaustiveness and except the oracular part, we will approach Zc 4,1-6a.10b-14 in three steps. First, we will offer the status quaestionis of the research about the text and offer studies from the beginning of 1900 till now. Second, we will refer the adopted methodology and focus on its delimitation and its structure. Third, we will offer the exegesis of the text in a theological way. Some final considerations will summarize what emerged from the analysis.
