L’articolo intende delineare in modo molto sintetico alcuni aspetti del rito così come emergono dalle principali modalità di approccio e nell’esposizione. Il rito verrà configurato come fenomeno biologico (azione, segno e gioco), culturale (società, conoscenza, parola) e religioso. L’autore sottolinea come i riti biologici, riti culturali e riti religiosi sono profondamente intrecciati e si deve tener presente che mentre il comportamento rituale supera ampiamente i confini della specie umana, la dimensione religiosa è esclusiva di questa specie. Tali premesse porteranno l’autore a considerare il fenomeno religioso e il riferimento alla memoria rituale (vita e morte), al processo rituale (ordinario e straordinario), all’estetica rituale (sensibilità e trascendenza) e alla transazione rituale (esteriorità e interiorità). L’articolo si interroga sulle celebrazioni cristiane sollevando l’interrogativo sulla loro adeguatezza alle esigenze originarie e autentiche del rito.

The article intends to outline in a very synthetic way some aspects of the rite, the way they emerge from the principal modalities of approach, and in the exhibition. The rite will be configured as a phenomenon which is animal (action, sign and game), cultural (society, acquaintance, word) and religious. The author points out how the animal rites, cultural rites and religious rites are deeply intertwined and it must be borne in mind that while the ritual behavior vastly exceeds the boundaries of the human species, the religious dimension is exclusive to this species. These premises will lead the author to consider the religious phenomenon and the reference to the ritual memory (life and death), to the ritual process (ordinary and extraordinary), to the esthetical ritual (sensibility and transcendence) and the transaction ritual (exteriority and interiority). The article questions the Christian celebrations by raising the question of their suitability for the original and authentic requirements of the rite.
