La chiave interpretativa dell’articolo è data dal “camminare con i giovani”. L’espressione, a cui si cerca di dare un senso specifico ed espressivo di una mentalità autenticamente sinodale, risente del Sinodo sui giovani e del clima ecclesiale e culturale attuale. Con questa chiave e muovendosi tra il Sinodo e il nuovo Direttorio, si cerca di comprendere la catechesi dei giovani in stretto rapporto con la pastorale giovanile ma anche di ricomprendere il senso stesso di tutta la catechesi. Si apre l’orizzonte di una catechesi nel segno del “camminare-con” e, a partire da tale orizzonte, si fanno emergere le risorse ed anche alcuni limiti del nuovo Direttorio.

The interpretative key of the article can be found in the phrase, “walking with the young.” The expression, to which we seek to give a specific and explicit sense of authentic synodal mentality, is influenced by the Synod on the Youth and by the current ecclesial and cultural milieu. With this key and staying with the Synod and the new Directory, we seek to understand catechesis of the young in close relationship with the youth pastoral/ youth ministry and also to comprehend the meaning of catechesis itself, in general. A horizon of catechesis in the sense of “walking-with” emerges here and from that horizon we envision the richness, and some limitations too, of the new Directory.
