Il tema della pace è insieme alla Follia il più celebre di Erasmo da Rotterdam. Nell’articolo gli argomenti del principe degli umanisti sono incrociati con altri temi a lui cari (antropologici, pedagogici e teologici). Così costruito, l’articolo dà una visione integrale sul tema della pace da un punto di vista filosofico-politico. L’uomo, essere sostanzialmente buono ma corrotto, deve essere educato alla virtù, perché in un cammino ascetico di santità, in comunione con la Chiesa, possa effettivamente vivere in pace accanto al suo prossimo.

The peace is the Erasmus of Rotterdam most famous topic (together with Folly). In this paper, the subjects of the prince of humanists are crossed with other topics which were crucial to him (anthropological, pedagogical and theological). Through this peculiar arrangement, the paper outlines an integral vision on the theme of peace from a philosophical-political point of view. The human being is created as good, but he is corrupted, so the mankind must be educated to virtue so that in an ascetic journey of holiness, in communion with the Church, all mankind can live in peace.
