L’annuncio del Vangelo non è separabile dall’aspirare ad una Chiesa tutta santa. Nelle difficoltà che il quotidiano pone e nelle complesse relazioni umane l’insegnamento di Gesù indica ai credenti la via necessaria della santità per essere in comunione con Dio e con i fratelli. L’annuncio di fede non è slegato dalla testimonianza verace dell’uomo nuovo in Cristo Gesù. Lo Spirito di Dio spinge a rinnovare la vita stessa del credente e di tutta quanta la comunità. Il nuovo Direttorio offre spunti di riflessione sul rapporto tra l’evangelizzazione, la catechesi e lo stile di vita che la Chiesa deve vivere per essere segno significativo della presenza di Dio. Il presente studio intende sottolineare lo scopo della catechesi come formazione spirituale del credente alla vita buona del Vangelo, puntando alla santità così come tanti fratelli e sorelle hanno mostrato con la loro vita santa.

The proclamation of the Gospel cannot be separated from the aspiration for a holy Church. In the difficulties that daily life poses and in the complex human relationships, Jesus’ teaching shows believers the necessary way of holiness in order to be in communion with God and with their brothers and sisters. The proclamation of faith cannot be removed from a true witness of the new person in Christ Jesus. The Spirit of God prompts a renewal of the very life of a believer and that of the whole community. The new Directory offers points for reflection on the relationship between evangelization, catechesis and the way of life that the Church must live in order to be a significant sign of God’s presence. The present study aims to underline the purpose of catechesis as spiritual formation of the believer in the good life of the Gospel, aiming at holiness as so many brothers and sisters have shown with their holy life.
