La monografia sul nuovo Direttorio per la catechesi (2020) si apre con l’articolo introduttivo di S.E. Mons. Rino Fisichella, Prefetto del Pontificio Consiglio per la Promozione della Nuova Evangelizzazione, nuovo organismo della Santa Sede, autore ed estensore dell’importante documento. Intende offrire l’orizzonte in cui inquadrare gli studi che seguono e le riflessioni dei lettori che ne possono scaturire. Sono presentate le motivazioni di fondo che segnano il testo, i punti nevralgici che lo caratterizzano (l’incontro e la comunione con Cristo, la denominazione “missionaria” e “kerigmatica” della catechesi, la sua ispirazione catecumenale) e le parole-chiave che focalizzano la novità rispetto alle precedenti due edizioni del 1971 e del 1997: la via pulchritudinis, l’accompagnamento dei processi di crescita e la formazione dei catechisti, gli scenari culturali e l’inculturazione della fede.

The monograph on the new “Directory for Catechesis” (2020) opens with the introductory article of Monsignor S. E. Rino Fisichella, Prefect of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelisation, a new organ of the Holy See, author and redactor of the important document. It intends to offer the horizon against which to consider the articles that follow and the emerging reflections of the readers. It presents the underlying motivations that are indicated by the text, the nodal points that characterise it (encounter and communion with Christ, the ‘missionary’ and ‘kerygmatic’ dimensions of catechesis, its catechumenal inspiration) and the key terms that focus on the novelty with respect to the previous two editions of 1971 and 1997: the “via pulchritudinis”, accompaniment in the process of maturation and the formation of catechists, the cultural scenario and the inculturation of faith.
