L’articolo offre in edizione critica due Quaestiones quodlibetales relative al problema dei figli illegittimi, discusse da Giovanni Regina di Napoli, OP, attivo nello Studium di San Domenico Maggiore di Napoli nella prima metà del XIV secolo. Nelle due Quaestiones ci si domanda se sia lecito per una madre, rivelare al proprio figlio di essere illegittimo, con ovvie conseguenze sia a livello di convivenza con il marito tradito, sia a livello di diritti di eredità. Le risposte del Domenicano rivelano una sensibilità assai moderna e rispettosa tanto della figura femminile, evidentemente oggetto di violenza, quanto del figlio bastardo, a rischio di abbandono e di indigenza.

The article offers two Questiones Quodlibetales in critical edition about the problem of illegitimacy. They are written by Giovanni Regina of Naples OP, active in the Studium of San Domenico Maggiore in the first half of XVth c. In both Quaestiones is asked whether it is lawful for a mother to reveal to her son his illegitimacy, with obvious consequences in terms of living with the betrayed husband, and in terms of inheritance rights. His answers reveal a very modern point of view and a respectful sensibility to the mother, evidently often object of violence, and to the bastard son, at the risk of abandonment and poverty.
