Joseph Ratzinger non e stato un liturgista, ma ha dedicato molta attenzione alle questioni liturgiche e sacramentali, soprattutto per mostrare la relazione intrinseca che sussiste tra le forme della celebrazione cristiana e la struttura fondamentale dell’atto di fede. L’articolo intende studiare questo tema evidenziandone le diverse articolazioni: il radicamento in una concezione simbolica del cosmo, il legame con la lettura figurale della Scrittura, la valorizzazione teologica della forma liturgica, il nesso con la Stellvertretung cristologica e con la communio Ecclesiae.

Joseph Ratzinger was not a liturgist, but he did devote much attention to liturgical and sacramental issues, especially to show the intrinsic relationship between the forms of Christian celebration and the fundamental structure of the act of faith. The article intends to study this theme, highlighting its various articulations: the rootedness in a symbolic conception of the cosmos, the link with the figurative reading of Scripture, the enhancement of the liturgical form in theological thought, the connection with the Christological Stellvertretung and with the communio Ecclesiae.
