El artículo postula la diferencia y la complementariedad del doble ordenamiento de la doctrina lonerganiana del amor, es decir, el orden del amor religioso y el orden del amor humano. A partir de la cual se sostiene que solo en el genuino reconocimiento del don que Dios hace de su amor es que el ser humano puede ser cada vez más consciente de la autenticidad de sus experiencias de amor. La lógica de tal argumentación parte de un cuidadoso análisis sobre el vocabulario del amor en los escritos de Lonergan, verificando sobre todo que en su propuesta de pensamiento, sobre todo en el ámbito teológico, el término love representa el vértice de convergencia entre el dinamismo catabático del amor divino y el anabático del amor humano.

The article postulates the difference and complementarity of the double order of the Lonerganian doctrine of love, i.e. the order of religious love and the order of human love. From that postulation, it is argued that it is only in the genuine recognition of God’s gift of his love that human beings can become increasingly aware of the authenticity of their experiences of love. The logic of such an argument is based on a careful analysis of the vocabulary of love in Lonergan’s writings, verifying, above all, that in his proposal of thought, especially in the theological area, the term love represents the vertex of convergence between the catabatic dynamism of divine love and the anabatic dynamism of human love.
